Hurricanes send F Boychuk back to Albany

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Carolina Hurricanes have sent forward Zach Boychuk to the team's AHL team in Albany after recording his first career NHL point.

The 20-year-old Boychuk was recalled to Carolina and made his NHL season debut on Friday night against Toronto. The following night, Boychuk recorded an assist on Tim Gleason's third-period goal at Columbus.

Along with the assist, Boychuk had six shots on goal.

While at Albany, Boychuk scored four goals and had five assists in 12 games. He was Carolina's first pick and the 14th overall in the 2008 draft.
